We had a good time this Thanksgiving. We went to Bartlesville where all my family lives to join them for Thanksgiving, on Thanksgiving day. I ate a good plate of food, but was good and didn't get seconds. Then played a little horse, a basketball game, to work off a little of the food and prevent ourselves from passing out in front of the football game like the rest did. I was a horse, I lost, I got 3rd out of 4th place, BOO! I was good at basketball in my junior high years, that's been a while though.
Then we headed for Kansas City, MO, such a long drive! Dropped off to have a couple of beers with his sister and brother-in-law, had a good time! Woke up at the crack-a-dawn to get some Black Friday shopping in. Got a few good deals, shopped for a good 6 hours. Had a few beers and played some shuffle board and pool before the second Thanksgiving Dinner. Pictures below illustrate what happens when your big boy sits on your lap and tells you what he wants for Christmas, and when you stuff yourself silly with turkey, stuffing and sweet potatoes!
Then we had a surprise 60th birthday party at my favorite Italian restaurant, Garozzo's. I got the special which was a 4 oz. fillet with sauteed mushrooms, provel cheese and a lemon butter cream sauce, and Spedini Samantha, which is chicken dredged in bread crumbs and cooked and covered with artichokes and alfredo sauce... mmmmm. I'll post some recipes!
Never too big to sit on momma's lap! I want a fire truck! This is what he always wants, sooo...
Momma and her youngest!
Momma's boys get early Christmas presents!
Fire Truck!
Coolest fire truck I've ever seen!
Momma and her oldest, they look a lot alike!
This is what happens when you stuff yourself silly. You pass out at the nearest available place where you can stretch out. There's a lot of moaning and groaning in the process.
Even if it requires squeezing in between the coffee table and the couch!
Shopping+lots of food=going to bed early and falling to sleep once your head hits the pillow!
