The past six nights, excluding the weekend, we have been conducting spotlight surveys for Adam's master's project. If you do not know what a spotlight survey is, you drive around at night with spot lights and count the amount of deer you see within 250 yards.
Adam is comparing spotlight surveys with trail camera surveys, proving that spotlight surveys are a waste of your time, and are inaccurate.
Our six nights of spotlight surveys have been interesting. The state wildlife extension specialist has been conducting the surveys with us, and talk about interesting stories. I'm like a little kid asking questions, and a sponge soaking up all the information. I do better learning from experiences rather than boring lectures. So you bet every night we were doing our surveys he got at least 30 question from me.
Tonight is our last night of surveys, the wildlife extension specialist will not be with us tonight, but Adam's boss will. I'm sure I can squeeze some Montana stories out of him. I'm in love with Montana.
